Well, well, here we are in Week 3 of my “Always Eat After 7 PM: The Revolutionary Rule-Breaking Diet That Lets You Enjoy Huge Dinners, Desserts, and Indulgent Snacks—While Burning Fat Overnight by Joel Marion book challenge.

You can check out Week 1 where I talk about my goals for the challenge and Week 2 where I share why I feel that following the steps in the book are best for me and my lifestyle.

I do have good news. I LOST 7 POUNDS!!!

I started the challenge at 156lbs and I am currently down to 149 lbs.

How Did I Manage That in A Week?

Before I get into what I ate and what steps I took from the book, I do want to say that my ultimate goal is all-around good health. I’m excited about the weight loss, however, that is just part of the goal.

The Always Eat After 7 PM plan consists of: The 14-day Acceleration Phase to kick-start the program and see rapid results, The Main Phase where you’ll learn exactly which foods to eat when in order to achieve your weight-loss goals, The Lifestyle Phase to keep the weight off for good

The 14-day acceleration phase has definitely a factor in my initial rapid weight loss. I’ve been active, but not as active as I’d like to eventually be.

I am not a person that can eat early in the morning so, I generally eat my first meal of the day between 10am and 11 am which makes my last meal of the day around 8pm. This pattern works fine for me and is encouraged by the “Always Eat After 7pm” program.

My eating pattern pretty much stayed the same daily and I went with the recommended food suggestions and recipes within the book.

Speaking of the food choices and recipes…

LET’S TALK ABOUT BAKED POTATOES!

Most diets shun from eating potatoes. Not this one. Potatoes are my weakness and I was so excited and overjoyed to see that they were included in the food group complete with a delicious Chilli Loaded Baked Potato recipe. I could really eat that every day and be satisfied.

There are recipes for every food pallet. I’m looking forward to trying some that I wouldn’t think to make like especially since I’m at home and have time, like ‘Cherry Garcia Ice Cream”.

I’m looking forward to following the steps in the book and am happy that I’m already seeing results. I’ll continue to share my progress with you guys and hope you decide to join me with your own goals .
