Album Review: Train – Bulletproof Picasso in stores 9/16 + Catch them LIVE today @ 2pm PT/5pm ET on QVC2

Three-time Grammy winning rock band Train will be releasing their new album “Bulletproof Picasso” on September 16th. Plus catch them live TODAY, Friday, September 5, 2014 on QVC2.

I remember when “Drops of Jupiter” came out. I listened to that song over and over. I couldn’t get enough of it and hence my love of the band Train began.
Hard to believe that over 16 years ago…geesh but, they’ve kept the music and hits coming including the smash viral hit “ Hey,Soul Sister” If you haven’t heard that song perhaps you’ve been under a rock because it was everywhere.
Well, Train is back and set to release their 7th studio album on September 16, 2014 titled Bulletproof Picassoout on Columbia Records and produced by Butch Walker (Weezer, Avril Levine, Fall Out Boy).

Who knows if there will be another hit the magnitude of “Hey, Soul Sister” but, you can be sure that you’ll get some great music.
I was lucky enough to receive an advance copy of “Bulletproof Picasso” and of course I’ll share my thoughts.
I usually pick out the songs that stand out to me and I definitely have to start with the first single “Angel in Blue Jeans”.
The video features Mr. Badass himself, Danny Trejo (Machete) and he doesn’t disappoint in the video. (If you haven’t seen the video, you can catch it below). The song itself has a really nice Native American, old school western movie feel to it as far as the music which is why the theme of the video fits so well.

Lead singer Pat Monahan’s falsetto in “Give It All” is so melodically beautiful to me. Yes, I know, men’s voices shouldn’t be described as beautiful but, you’ll have to hear it to see what I’m talking about. I’m going to venture to guess that this will become a hit.
If there’s a song that’s “signature” Train it’s “Just A Memory”. You’ll hear it and instantly think, that’s Train and it’s a great song, of course.
Overall, this is a really good solid album and you guys won’t be disappointed.
