Growing up, one of my favorite parts of family gatherings was the game portion of the night. Whether it was charades, board games, or card games it was hours of fun and laughter. I kept that tradition going when I had my children and we still continue to look for new games to play together.
Today we’re going to focus on card games. These games include one invented by a 7-year-old, one that’s a twist on an old school game we all know with historically inspirational women mixed in, a game that will solidify who knows the other people playing the best, and one that challenges players to guess if you’re bluffing or being truthful about real trivia tidbits.

Tacos vs. Burrito was invented by a clever 7-year old. This game is super popular and I get why because it includes two of most people’s favorite food groups Tacos and Burritos. The goal of the game is to build the weirdest, wildest meal. You have to choose whether you’re creating a Taco or Burrito and the cards you draw will determine if you’re successful or not.
Double Ditto
Double Ditto is a fun family party game that will challenge players to be clever and quick. The object of the game is to write down answers you think other players will write. Match an answer with another player to score a “ditto!” Match both answers and score a “double ditto!”
Spoof
Spoof is a simple concept but, do you have what it takes? Who amongst your friends and family believes your truths or lies? You are given an actual fact and have to either state it as true or add a fake twist. Good luck!
