What inspired you to become a writer?

I’ve always been a storyteller of sorts. I started out writing screenplays because I’m such a movie buff. Transitioning to novels was inevitable. My inspiration comes from great movies, tv shows, and video games I’ve played in the past. Anytime I come across great writing in any form it inspires me to create. My biggest fear, in the beginning, was letting someone read my work, ala George McFly from Back to the Future movies, but eventually, I was able to shake off those fears and share to the world my creative works.

I don’t limit myself to one particular genre because my inspiration can come in many forms. I’ve written all types of genres and subject matters such as Sci-Fi, Urban Fiction, Romance, Diary Themed Books, Police Dramas, Murder Mystery, Social Justice, Domestic Violence, and so much more. All my works are included in one vast universe that I named the #Enigmaverse, meaning all my books and characters are from the same universe (yes, even the Sci-Fi one). That particular inspiration came from the many connected universe-themed shows I’ve seen in the past such as Fargo and the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Who is your favorite author?

George R. R. Martin is definitely one of my favorite authors. I didn’t start reading his books until after Game of Thrones premiered on HBO. What I loved about his style is the willingness to go all out by killing off what we the readers/viewers thought to be the main characters. Nobody was safe in his books which gives it that extra element of surprise. I was intrigued by his work and it continues to be my favorite literature even though most of my work is based in the real world.

Describe your new book in 30 words or less

It’s a typical crazy call center tale with a love triangle thrown in for good measure. It’s funny, sexy, crazy, and relatable for anyone who has worked in that setting.

Why should we read it?

I find that a lot of urban fiction is filled with crime, drugs, and guns as of late. There are also a lot of fun tales that can be explored in the genre as well. What I pride myself on is being able to tell a story from a different angle. This book in essence is a love story, but what if you take that love story and surround it with a call center and zany characters? What you have then is a funny as hell story that not only keeps you engaged with the love triangle tale but also laughing at the supporting characters that will keep you into the story from beginning to end. It’s a fascinating tale that will definitely resonate with anything who’s ever worked in a call center.

What books have influenced your life most?

Song of Ice and Fire Series. Character-driven tales like that are fun to read.
