Describe your music for those who have never heard it.

My music is a good mix of R&b, Pop, and Soul. Sometimes I throw some hip-hop vibes into it!

Tell us about your latest single ” Take Me to the Moon”

My character in this playful track considers multiple devious approaches that will increase her net worth at the expense of the well-connected yet unfortunate gentleman she’s attempting to court.

Combining familiar 90s and early 2000s R&B vibes with sassy and faced-paced vocals akin to rap flows, this track brings new energy to a beloved era of music that will have listeners ready to add it to their favorite playlists and put it on repeat.

What inspired you to pursue music?

I grew up in a family full of musicians that loved to sing and play music in the church.

What do you feel has been your greatest music career accomplishment so far?

My greatest accomplishment so far is becoming a successful session singer and songwriter with a growing list of clients.

What do you feel has been your biggest challenge?

I have a hard time ridding myself of anxieties when it comes to writing and performing my music. Thankfully I’ve been slowly getting over the problems with cognitive therapy.

What is your music goal for the upcoming year?

My goal for the year is to launch my new podcast called “Singstyle Sessions” on Youtube and my site yonamariemusic.com. It will be a show full of laughs and freestyle singing to weird and unique instrumentation.
