Futons are the best furniture for many reasons. They’re conveniently priced, conveniently sized, and are multi-functional.
I received the YAHEETECH Futon Sofa Bed for review and I was very pleasantly surprised.
I’ll start by saying that it arrived quickly. The box did weigh about 80lbs which was a little bit too heavy for me to bring up my one flight of stairs by myself however, the young man in the management office of my building had absolutely no problem bringing it up for me. Yes, I tipped him.
Once I got it inside my apartment, I had to deal with the task of putting it together. I waited a few days because I thought it would too much. Once I opened the box up and started putting it together, I realized that it’s so easy.
Here are the steps-
Remove the Futon Out of The Box:
Well, that’s obvious. I was careful to make sure that I didn’t cut too deep into the box because it was a slender box and it’s faux leather. One little slit or nick and it’s over.
Get the Instructions and additional material:
There is a zipper on the back of the futon that holds the pieces and the instructions. Very convenient and good to know if I ever need to take the futon completely apart and store the pieces. I don’t think I’d ever have to take it apart though because it’s not heavy once fully built and it’s easier to carry fully assembled.
Start assembling the pieces:
The instructions are drawn photo-based and very easy to follow. I had no problem picking out the pieces they were referencing in the photos/instructions.
All Set up!
As I mentioned this is a great futon/couch for an apartment, cave man space, dorm room. It’s inexpensive and very functional. The arm cusions are removable and serve as head rests as well. There is a cup holder in the center that you can bring down and lift up that holds two drinks. You can have someone stay over and sleep on the couch that opens up to a twin size bed.
The Pros:
- Great quality faux leather
- Easy to Assemble
- Multi-Purpose (couch and extra sleeping option)
- Inexpensive
- Fashionable
- Built in drink holders
- Light Weight
Cons:
- If you have pets (cats/dogs) then you’ll need to get a protective cover because it is faux leather and they will scratch it up.
- Not plush.
Final Thoughts:
I love the Futon. I love the price. The assembly was easy for me to do it by myself. I definitely recommend it.
