Living in Los Angles, California with several books under his belt, Mickey Royal pulls from his life as a former pimp, gangster, porn director, and even as a former fiancée to porn stars to bring to life the characters and stories in his books including his latest one “Along for the Ride”.
We asked Royal a few questions as part of our author spotlight to learn more about inspirations and his latest book.

What inspired you to become a writer?
My love for the power of language and the written word. The freedom and creativity are limitless.
Who is your favorite author & why?
Donald Bakeer- Author of the book South Central witch became a movie produced by Oliver Stone. He was also my writing and American Literature teacher in high school.
