When the new year started my resolution was to be healthier and more active. That’s a common goal for people, but I wanted to be realistic about it. I’m getting older and fad diets are not only a temporary fix, but they can also cause health issues. I wanted to be healthy for the long term.

Of course, with most new year goals, people tend to slack off and I was one of those people. Each week became, “Well maybe next week”. Having to get up early for work, all the restaurant temptations at lunchtime, and getting home late in the evening don’t make it easy.

Then the pandemic happened and I’m working from home. I received a copy of Always Eat After 7 PM: The Revolutionary Rule-Breaking Diet That Lets You Enjoy Huge Dinners, Desserts, and Indulgent Snacks—While Burning Fat Overnight by Joel Marion for review and gave it a read. This seemed like goals and habits I could follow.

I’m not a morning eater and I generally eat dinner pretty late out of habit from getting home late so, following a health plan that works with my schedule makes sense which is what you get with Always Eat After 7PM.

“Always Eat After 7 pm is a three-phase program that teaches you how to lose big by strategically eating big when you are naturally hungriest—in the evening. This may sound too good to be true, but let me assure you it is no gimmick. It’s all about making strategic and smart food swaps, and you can still eat your favorite foods.”

The Always Eat After 7 PM plan consists of: The 14-day Acceleration Phase to kick-start the program and see rapid results, The Main Phase where you’ll learn exactly which foods to eat when in order to achieve your weight-loss goals, The Lifestyle Phase to keep the weight off for good

I’m going to go through a four-week process of following the book and take you along with me on this journey. I plan to follow the food schedule, suggested exercises, and track my weight and overall fitness.

This is me now at 5’4″ and 156lbs (I’m sucking my belly in …lol) :

This is actually the heaviest I’ve ever been in my life. Even when I was pregnant I didn’t weigh this much. The weight doesn’t bother me as much as the unhealthy lifestyle. I need to change that now as far as eating and physical fitness. I just need it to be conducive to my day to day living which is why I’m willing to try the steps in “Always Eat After 7 PM

I’m sure I’ll lose weight, but have to remember my goal is ultimately to be all-around healthy and to have a system that I can follow in the long run even when we finally do return back to our offices once they start lifting the shelter from home restrictions.

I hope you guys enjoy my logging of my journey following Always Eat After 7 pm and it would be even more fun if you took the journey with me.
