What inspired you to become a writer?

I have so many stories floating around in my head and I’ve started and stopped over a dozen. I just never had the desire to just completely finish one until I saw my husband doing the same thing but finishing.

He starts and stops stories all the time but he does it when he gets a block and he just moves to where his creativity takes him. That method works for me as well so now it’s like an assembly line. Expect to see a lot of productivity from me in writing now.

Your favorite author & why

My favorite author is my husband, Willie Stewart. Not just for obvious reasons though. I love how he develops characters. He takes the time to get into the psyche of each character. With both of us being Registered Nurses, I understand what he does when he gives each character some sort of mental health flaw because it helps to guide the characters actions and keep the characters true to themselves as you write. He has been my biggest influence as I watched him become an Amazon Best seller with his novel taRNished.

Describe your book in 30 words or less

5 lives, 5 stories, 1 need. Acceptance. They won’t all make it.

Why should we read it?

We all experience grieving throughout our lives in varying degrees. From losing a phone to as extreme as losing a loved one. Not everyone knows how to cope adequately. I entertain you by sensationalizing the 5 stages of grief and educate you as well.

Have you written any other books?

I am currently writing a children’s book series so stay tuned.

What books have influenced your life most?

taRNished by Willie Stewart has been my biggest influence because I saw it first hand as it was developed, then written, tested, and sold until he got the cover on a Times Square Billboard all as an indie author. I’m gonna outdo my husband.
