With lyrics like these Lady Breezy is definitely worth a listen and an artist to watch:

It’s hard out here
but we gotta make it through
No school supplies
but you got some new shoes
Won’t go to church
but you’re up at 6 every week

To stand in line
for some new Jordans on ya feet.

Interview w/Hip hop Artist Lady Breezy

Describe your music for those who have never heard it.

My music is basically real life. I call it reality rap because I am basically rapping about real life experiences from my point of view. I make it so that the listeners can relate as well.
Tell us about your new single “The Hood”.
The song is called The Hood and it is basically riding around my hood and the every day things that I see. I know other people can relate to this as well.
What inspired you to pursue music?
A lot of things inspired me to do music but it was basically telling my story and trying to make it positive. There are so many negative things in hip hop that I want to make my music positive.
What has been your greatest career accomplishment so far?
Performing in front of thousands of people.

What has been your biggest challenge?

Doing everything by myself. As far as being my own manager, my own A & R and my own promoter.
Who is your favorite artist?
My favorite artist by far is Jay Z. He is so dope. He is a classic example of the American Dream. He inspires me inside and outside of music. Lil Kim is my favorite female artist. She paved the way for the femcees. She was raunchy but she was herself and she never backed down.
What’s your career goal for the upcoming year?

My career goal for the year is to promote this project. Shoot a couple videos and maybe get a little small tour.
