Comedic Legend, Joan Rivers Dies at 81

I’m really sad to hear that Joan Rivers passed away. She’d been admitted into Mount Sinai Hospital in NYC after going into cardiac arrest during an outpatient procedure.
I can’t imagine what it’ll be like not hearing Joan Rivers rhaspy voice or her quick humor that you either got or you didn’t.

The legendary comedian has a long, long history in show business going as far back as being on the popular ‘60’s show “Candid Camera”.
Rivers was often a guest host on The Tonight Show when Johnny Carson held the helm and eventually became a permanent guest host before leaving to start her own rival late night talk show, “The Late Show Starring Joan Rivers,” which while very ambitious, did not last long and ultimately ended her friendship with Johnny Carson forever.

Joan’s career seemed to have a resurgence when she hosted E! Entertainment Television’s red carpet events with her daughter, Melissa.

Most recently in her career Joan played co-host of “Fashion Police,” which airs on E! and a couple of years back at the tender age of 75 she beat out everyone to win Donald Trump’s  “Celebrity Apprentice”.
I loved Joan Rivers. She was a feisty fellow Gemini who entertained us until the end and said what she wanted to no matter what. No one was safe from her comedic jabs and sucker punches not even herself.
Thanks, Joan, for all the laughs. I’m sure you’re looking down and laughing your ass off at all of us right now.
