JC Seals III definitely has a bit of a sense of humor that he lets shine in his new song “Paul Pierce (The Truth). As the title suggests, that humor is coated in truth.
The single is the lead for JC’s upcoming mixtape, the fourth in his “Its Just Rap” series.
The  Houston, Texas rapper by way of Tulsa, Oklahoma doesn’t describe himself as a rapper but just a regular person who can rap who “has a laid back approach that grabs your attention and keeps it from start to finish.
Well, JC Seals III caught our attention today with the official video for new single which we’re sharing with you today as part of our Indie Spotlight Series along with a quick Q&A with JC where he talks about his equally humorous musical influence, his goals as an indie artist and “It’s Just Rap IV” which is due to be released September 21st,2014.

Describe your music for those who have never heard it.
I make songs that make sense. Anyone with common sense can relate to my music.

Tell us about this song – Paul Pierce (The Truth).
This song is dedicated to everyone who has ever been in love with someone who they just couldn’t stand. You ever been in love with someone that you couldn’t stand?

What inspired you to pursue music?
I had quite a bit of influences who inspired me when it came to my decision to pursue music as my full time job. But, the ultimate reason is because it is what I love to do. I love music, creating, listening to, etc…
Who is your favorite artist?
I have way too many to name. I love musicians of all genres but I can say ever since I was young I have always been a fan of Weird Al Yankovic.
What has been your greatest career accomplishment so far?
CoStarring in the 5th Annual Get Money Stop Hatin Tour

What has been your biggest challenge?
In an over-saturated market finding a way to get my music to the ears of true hip hop listeners.

What’s your career goal for the year?

Continue to spread my music to as many people I can.
