Beauty Corner: Pure & Essential Minerals Dead Sea Mud Facial Mask (Review)

I seem to have a small little Dead Sea beauty product theme going lately. Well, not exactly a theme but, just last week I reviewed a hair conditioner that contained Dead Sea Salt.

Today, I’m going to try out a Dead Sea mud facial mask from Pure & Essential. This will be my first mud mask ever. I don’t know why I’ve never had one before but, I’m looking forward to pampering myself, especially today.

The instructions say to ‘apply a medium layer of Dead Sea mud to the face and upper neck, avoiding the eye area and leave on for 5 to 10 minutes’.

I know that you have to do the raccoon eyes but, I wasn’t sure if I was supposed to avoid my lips or go ahead and put the mud on them too.

I wound up putting the mud on my lips and now that I’m googling pictures I see you’re supposed to avoid the lips too. That’s okay. I was fine.

I thought it would be fun to post a picture of myself with the mud mask on as it was drying. I wanted to smile but, the mask was pretty stiff at that point and I didn’t want it to crack.

I left the mask on for the full 10 minutes because I wanted to get the full effect. Then I rinsed off with warm water and patted my face dry.

Here’s some things I noticed about the mask:
There’s a minty scent that I’m guessing is from the Eucalyptus oil and it also had a tingly feeling to it.

The mud felt fine on my face and it really does dry fast and hard.

My skin felt so soft after I rinsed and dried my face. I love it.

I still added a moisturizer. I’m not sure if you’re supposed to do that but, though my skin felt soft I still felt like I needed to add some moisture. Maybe it’s just habitual.

Would I recommend it?
This is the first mud mask I have ever tried so I have nothing to compare it to but, I think it’s worth it just for how great my skin feels.

I’m going to add it to my weekly beauty regime as they suggest and hopefully my face will glow like they say it will.
