“Our music is real. I am inspired by life” – lead singer Charlie Ueda
I’m always excited to feature new music and new artists for you guys to listen to and this up and coming group from Cali is definitely a band you should check out.
Sono Vero is an eclectic band that merges reggae, hip hop, pop and soul in their songs.
What drew me in instantly are the vocals and the lyrics. Their voices are pretty melodic and the reggae rhythm and beat is always so mellow and smooth.
It’s no wonder Sono Vera has managed to climb the charts in their home state of California and continue to build nationally.
We had a chance to chat with Sono Vero about their new album and of course, the key to life, music!
So, check out my favorite track from the EP “Leave With You” and check the interview below.
What inspired you to pursue music?
Music just came into our lives naturally which is usually the best way you can be introduced to any new experience. It wasn’t until we fell in love with the idea of creating and performing it for a living that we decided to pursue it though.
What has been your greatest accomplishment as a band?
Our greatest accomplishment by far is the release of our newest EP “Roses for the Reckless“. The response from the fans has been great and it’s opened up a world of doors for us we plan to take full advantage of.
What has been your biggest challenge in your career?
Our biggest challenge so far has been finding the time to do all that goes into making a band successful.
Writing music, practice, shows and keeping in touch with our fans is more than we imagined.
This really isn’t a huge challenge though, because when you love something it’s almost as if there is just more time in a day for it.
Who is your favorite artist?
Each of us has completely different individual tastes in music, but we feel as though that’s part of what makes us such a unique group.
I think in such an over saturated industry originality is what makes an Artist stand out. All of us enjoy originality in our artists and we hope that originality is conveyed in the music we make.
What are your music career goals for the next few years?
Our music career goals are not definitive but rather to just make good music as well and often as we possibly can while getting to connect with as many fans as the world can handle.
We believe if we make a product we are proud of, fans will like it and the rest will take care of itself.
Cuz I love you guys, here’s a bonus song. The title track ‘End of Forever’
