I know I’ve mentioned this before, but, I’m on a mission to get a six-pack.
I thought I was well on my way, hitting the gym and running 3 miles daily on top of lifting weights and other basic cardio exercises.
Then suddenly I hit a bit of a plateau weight-wise. No matter what I did I stayed steady at 140lbs. It also didn’t really look like I was any closer to a six pack. I still had a little belly pouch.
I asked my nephew, who is a certified trainer, what I was doing wrong and he said, well,
Great, the change in exercise training was easy because he gave me the tools. The eating clean was going to take some work.
Well, eating clean is really not as hard as I thought. It’s expensive but, I was having no issue and actually dropped 10 pounds within 2 weeks. The problem was VARIETY. I don’t know any ‘clean food’ recipes so, I was eating chicken, brown rice and broccoli almost daily. Boring.
Something needed to change and it did when I got this Clean FoodDiet E-book to review.
The first thing it does is give you a list of clean foods you can eat and what to avoid like ready made food. Ready-made food is hard to give up because it’s so quick, easy and cheap but, after a while you don’t miss it.
The Clean Food Diet E-book has 50 great recipes that I never would have even thought to make that include appetizers, main courses and desserts. They also list the nutritional information at the end of the recipe which is great information for those of us who count calories or protein and fat intake.
They are also recipes that other people will enjoy so I’m not stuck making separate meals anymore.
There’s Mini Spinach Pizzas (yes, pizza!), soups, salads, Chilli (it’s meatless but, still delicious) and there is even a Skinny Homemade Nutella recipe. I’m just so happy to not be eating plain chicken and brown rice day in and day out anymore.
You’re really going to enjoy the recipes in this book especially if you’re looking for variety in your clean eating menu. Also, you’re going to feel really great from eating so healthy.
