Describe your music for those who have never heard it.
My Music isn’t for everyone. Its a very interesting context and perspective of those who control and lead from places everyone cant get to. Its the anthem soundtrack for the eclectic street thinker. The Words Drive the tracks and the bass line gives color to the thoughts. Kilo MOE Music isn’t about “Vibes”. In fact its “anti Vibe”…. I make music for people Who change the room…
Tell us about this video and the concept.
This Song Rambo, Well the video anyway is a combination of two singles. “Braggin'” and “Rambo”…. The first half of the video Is Braggin’. Its an Affirmation for those who’ve been laying low staying focused. Every so often we pop out and let the game know who really is who… Its the anthem. “I am the shit… and ain nobody out here like us”…. Context is key when you dive in. We shot this video where I started the company O.M.G Entertainment. I’d been laying low a couple of years building the foundational base of what we are doing today. So the ‘come back’ was Rambo. The whole goal was to answer to some of the silent criticism I was taking during the lay off. “I hold work N’ No fraud”
What inspired you to pursue music?
Its more like a WHO inspired me. My brother was my biggest inspiration. We grew up in a musical household. Records! Lots of records. We lived in the record stores. Everyone had their own record player, boom box, or stereo. All rooms of the house except the bathroom. My brother had DJ Equipment back when it wasnt every single person you knew had. We passed around ‘mix tapes’ and im talking actual Tapes. The real deal. Not downloads of people rapping over industry beats. The whole thing was about having the best cuts, blends, and scratches and mastering certain mixes. My Brother is much older than me and at the time we were living in munich, germany. This was a 4 year time period elementary school where I developed my pursuit in music. My brother was my number one inspiration. Had it not been for that time period in life I probably wouldnt be doing this.
Greatest career accomplishment so far?
My greatest career accomplishment was taking my label (O.M.G Entertainment, inc) from just a name and an idea and growing it into what is now a full multimedia company in which we joined the Merlin Network in 2015. That move was the biggest accomplishment by far. I went from “artist posting music” to “owner publishing and licensing catalogue”. Big difference! 2015 was the year everything changed for me career wise. There are several other milestones when you actually dig into what I am doing however the joining the Merlin Network By far is the biggest to date.
What has been your biggest challenge?
Right Now, the biggest challenge is managing so much with such a small staff. With a staff of 4 and sometimes 5 it is very complex handling the things that need to be handled day to day without say a staff of 50. We are probably operating well under force. But this
What is your music goal for the year?
Musical goal this year is 100k streams. I might be there by now but this is the goal for our releases this year. Rambo Dropped in January which did very well out the gate. Numbers wise that is the main goal. One more visual is enroute which was another goal. That should take us over. Perfomance goals are at front and center of what im doing. Gotta crawl before you walk. Peace.
