Describe your music for those who have never heard it.
I make a wide variety of music so I don’t have a particular sound. I listen to a lot of different genres so, I guess I would say most of the music I make is a blend of genres. Most of my songs don’t fit into one category.
Tell us about your new single “Get it Girl”
“Get it Girl” is an Uptempo dance/EDM track that is a fusion of Pop/Future House with a few acapellas sprinkled in for flavor.
What inspired you to pursue music?
Whether it was waking up every weekend to the sounds of my mother cleaning the house listening to Motown greats, to playing in my school band, marching band, school and church orchestras, or writing and creating my own, music has been a part of my life as a listener, performer, and producer for the majority of my life. It wasn’t until I heard Timbaland’s first album that I decided I wanted to pursue this as a career and passion.
What has been your greatest career accomplishment so far?
I would say hearing a song I produced on the radio, and finishing my first album all by myself are a tie for 1st. It took a lot of work. I sacrificed a lot of time and sleep to get this done. Being able to just sit back and listen to it for enjoyment instead of for the technical aspects is a great feeling. Now, I’m ready to work on the next one.
What has been your biggest career challenge?
Doing all the work by myself. Creating, writing, promoting, strategizing. It’s a multiple person
What is your music goal for the year?
My goal for the year is to continue to establish myself and build a fan base that will anticipate the next few projects I’m going to release. I’m also looking for artists and writers to collaborate on albums. I’m currently working on a couple more albums and mixtapes that I may release before the year is out, but I want to start working with my own artists to prepare releases for next year.
