Describe your music for those who have never heard it.

InCrest is a danish alternative rock band, striving to introduce the 90s grungy seattle vibe, to the future generations of music enthusiasts. Consisting of Marcie Hayes, Anders Hagedorn-Olsen and Jonas Tange, the band just released their 2nd album entitled The Ladder The Climb The Fall, with a whole bunch of crazy good and well written rock song. Ranging from quiet nostalgic acoustics to hard hitting rock n roll hits, InCrest brings forth a solid offer on a modern post-grunge sound.

Tell us about your new single “Nightcrawler.

Nightcrawler is the first single from the new album. It’s a very grungy and straight forward rock song, which is about the confrontations and inner battles with your own darkside, which sometimes tries to take you over, and bring you down. If you looking for a resemblance, you could say it’s like Star Wars Anakin Skywalker becoming Darth Vader, or something like that.

What inspired you to pursue music?

Well besides the fact that we think music is one of the most powerful things that exists, it’s just a really feel good thing to occupy yourself with. It’s a constant flow of creation, solution fixing, planning and social awarding. It can change anyone’s mood, add feelings to passive events, and strengthen memories. Guess it just feels like just the right thing to do.

What has been your greatest career accomplishment so far as a band?

The 2 albums we’ve released and the last Indian Tour  we were on, would probably be it. It has taken us on a long journey of learning, experiences and wow moments. It’s also really exciting figuring out how everything works in the music business, how it evolves, and what the future might offer.

What has been your biggest challenge?

The biggest challenge would probably be the fact that rock music is a declining genre from the past. Not many young people listen to guitar music anymore, which means the amount of rock fans are getting smaller everyday in the shadow of edm, elecro pop and hiphop. There are still many rock bands which means it’s getting harder to fight for the small market of rock music.

What is your music goal for the year?

Record more music videos, plan a 2019 tour an work on more new music. First I think we’ll take a small break though after the rough process of the new release, but then it’s back to work.
