It’s Back to School time so moms and dads all over are out shopping for the best. It’s hard to keep up with what’s cool and new which is why we’re here. We attended Momtrends Back to School Bash where we got to see things to eat, things to wear and things to keep your kids organized and ready for the upcoming school year.
Donate Supplies for $25
I want to start the post with a great cause that MomTrends hosts every year during the Back to School Bash. You can donate $25 which will go towards 1 Back Pack full of supplies. $25 may not seem like a lot to some people but, it goes a long way for those that are struggling. You can donate here: https://www.kinf.org/momtrends/
Mani or Pedi
MomTrends takes care of the children first and foremost and they also always takes care of us moms at their events. We were treated to an amazing manicure by ManiorPedi . I don’t usually get manicures at events because I’m a nail biter (yes, bad habit) but I indulged this time and I’m glad I did. I felt pampered and relaxed.
Jarlsberg Cheese
Once my manicure was done I headed towards the scent of food. Jarlsberg Cheese was on hand to make an after school snack staple, grilled cheese. But, these were no ordinary grilled cheese sandwiches that Chef George Duran was cooking up. They were grilled cheese sandwiches with a twist. I kept spinning and miraculously stopping at the bacon grilled cheese. Chef Duran thought it was too much of a coincidence.
Jarlsberg Cheese is delicious, the sandwiches are delicious, Chef Duran is a hoot.
Natalie’s Orchid Island Juice Company
Now that my belly was full was time for a drink. Natalie’s Orchid Island Juice Company was serving up Mimosas with a choice of three of their delicious flavors; Strawberry Lemonade, Blood Orange and Orange Pineapple. Mimosas aren’t for kids but, hey, we moms can indulge. What is for kids is Natalie’s Orchid juices. They use Florida oranges and their juices are freshly hand squeezed. I did take a complimentary container of orange juice home and it was gone before the morning.
Stonyfield
Snack time! You’re going to thank me for introducing you to the Stonyfield organic yogurt. My favorite snack from Stonyfield is the pretzel and yogurt combo. You dip the pretzels in they yogurt. It tastes like heaven. I was on a movie set and brought the snack with me. People kept asking me where I got it from. They thought it was from the craft table. NO! it’s from Stonyfield.
Epson
I stepped over to the Epson booth to try and print some more mimosas. Just kidding but, the new printer they featured is a must have for budget conscious parents who will be dealing with a lot of printing throughout the year.
I really need this printer in my life and so do you. The Expression ET-2750 EcoTank is a cartridge free printer that can print for up to two years without having to replace the ink.
We all know that cartridge replacement is so expensive, not to mention that it’s not healthy for the environment. Even with recycling, most people just throw them out since it seems like more of a chore to send a cartridge to be recycled.
Th EcoTank is only $250. That’s an incredible price for a printer that includes ink that will last for up to 2 years.
Avery
The Avery booth was my next stop. If you haven’t purchased Avery products to keep your kids organized for back to school, then you’re missing out. They have entire collections that are amazing and reasonably priced. Every year they work with a designer. This season they’re working with Amy Tangerine and I absolutely love everything from binders to folders to journals. The collection is colorful and fun.
Mabel’s Labels
Speaking of keeping organized, Mabel’s Labels is all you need to tag all of your kids’ belongings that they need to take to school. That’s me in their photo booth hamming it up giving my best mom look. Their labels are so creative. You have so many options so, you can customize and make them unique to your kids likes and personality.
Snapper Rock
Swimwear for Back to School? Absolutely, because there will be a vacation during winter break and your growing kid will need swimwear that fits. The summer gear is worn out and too small at this point.
Snapper Rock has matching gear for families which I love. Their swimwear also has UV50 protection which blocks 98% of all harmful rays. They also have a lot of fun and fashionable designs and styles for all ages.
Tea Collection
Tea Collection is an adorable clothes line that has a bit of a story. The company travels the world to bring international culture to their modern designs. What does that mean? Well, this season they worked with Native American artists, using their designs and concepts to create comfortable and unique clothing for children. I love their message and the fact that they are giving a voice to many.
Vamousse
I saved the best for last. Why is it the best? Because hundreds of thousands of parents will be dealing with lice this school year. WELCOME TO THE CLUB!
Lice is not a fun topic but it’s a popular topic for parents because it happens no matter what you try to do to prevent it. Unless, of course,if you shave your child bald. That’s not going to happen so might as well be prepared in advance.
Vamousse is effective against super lice and is alsopesticide free.
They also did our hair! One other wonderful treat for us moms as learned about the hip new Back to School products.
This Back to School Bash was a lot of fun and I got to interact with some great products. I really hope this post will be helpful to you in your shopping quest.
