NY Baby Show: My Top 3 Picks + More

NY Baby ShowThe NY Baby Show is always a favorite. You’ve got everything new an improved for babies, toddlers, and growing families. For two days ( May 19th & 20th ) parents had the opportunity to take in over 250 exhibitors and get their hands on new products at a discount.

NY Baby Show

I was there to cover the event thanks to MomTrends.  They kept us bloggers comfy with a bloggers lounge and treated us to Boston Market for lunch! YUM! Once my belly was full it was time to find my top 3 picks from the event.  There were so many amazing products and services that it was hard to decide but, I wanted to pick things that were unique, innovative and cool. Take a look at my picks and let me know what you think.

TOP 3 PICKS @ NY BABY SHOW

1) Bibby Baby Bib

Bibby Baby Bib creator, April Milman @ NY Baby Show Booth

This will be my go-to baby bib for baby showers and gifts going forward. Bibby is the only bib available with a patented designed collar that prevents liquids and food from slipping behind the neckline of the bib. This will save so much money in baby clothes that get ruined at the collar from spillage of milk and food. But, also, it will keep the baby from getting the rash that sometimes surfaces from milk and drool.

$10 is a great price and they come with pink border, blue border or plain white border.  The bib is soft and comfortable (I tried it on my own neck) and made of 80% cotton/20% Polyester.

2) Tranquilo Mat

Another great product that I came across at the baby show was the Tranquilo Mat. This mat mimics the vibration that a baby feels in the womb which soothes the baby and helps them go to sleep and feel comfortable.

Tranquilo Mat can be used anytime, anywhere. The mat is easy to use during naps or bedtime, as well as mid-day meltdowns and is especially good for colicky babies or those suffering from excessive gas. To me, it’s the equivalent of taking your baby on a car ride to calm them down. The vibrations of the car moving ALWAYS puts the baby to sleep. Now you don’t have to go for the ride.

While my daughter slept through the night from day one, my son was colicky and he would keep us up all night. I know plenty of parents that will appreciate this mat. It comes in two sizes and runs on Double AA batteries.

3) Count the Kicks

Download the app: Android | IOS

I saw this app at last years New York Baby Show and I’m glad they were back this year so I could have the chance to learn more and include it in my Top 3 Roundup.

Childbirth is a beautiful thing but, for many women, a child is lost through miscarriage or is delivered stillborn. I personally delivered a stillborn son at 8 months. While prenatal is incredibly important, I feel that this app is a great tool to use and get more connected with your baby while it’s in the womb but, also to monitor their health.

Count the Kicks is a stillbirth prevention public health campaign that encourages expectant parents to track their baby’s movements daily during the third trimester of pregnancy and contact their healthcare provider right away if there is a change in what’s normal for their baby.

In the video clip about Emily Rose explains how to use the app and why it’s important. Check out the interview, download the app and share it with all your friends who are expecting.

What do you think of my top 3 picks?

I hope you find them useful for yourself or for someone else. I’m already looking forward to next year when I can pick three new products to share with you. In the meantime check out these other photos from the NY Baby Show and check out my Top 3 picks from last year:
