Lokust Luciano was born with cerebral palsey but that hasn’t stopped him from pursuing his goals of breaking into the hip hop scene. The talented emcee Florida emcee recently released a video for his new single “I Don’t Want It” feat. T.Davis which he shared with us. Describe your music for those who have never heard it.
I’m like a mashup of Kurt Cobain and Tech N9ne, meets Edgar Allan Poe meets Eminem (before he was cloned by the Illuminati), with sprinkles of rampant marijuana use and my back history of having Cerebral Palsy and walking all jacked up, but still mackin’ all the girls cuz I hump like a dolphin on dry land and I guess I hit the right spots ha ha!
Tell us about this song
I was really inspired by several negative experiences in my life I like to call ‘thirst traps’, and I feel like too many women are cheap and shallow on social media, so the song just sorta came while I was making the beat!
What inspired you to pursue music?
I was born in 1988 with Cerebral Palsy. I was bullied, beaten up, and all sorts of stuff, and music has always been my only true way to “level the playing field” and connect with people universally without fear of the interaction being hindered because of the way my legs look do to the way I walk because I’m disabled ha ha! Music makes me equal, it gives me peace I never got with anything else as a kid, and I continue it now and forever!
Greatest career accomplishment so far?
Meeting a bunch of celebrities by going on tour and working hard to establish my brand at RetardedBastard.com. I never expected it would grow to what it is today!!
What has been your biggest challenge?
Being taken seriously before people even hear my music. When you walk like Forrest Gump, people expect you to carry around a box of chocolate or somethin’. I still struggle with getting laughed at when people find out I am an entertainer for a living and I use it as fuel to propel me forward whereas someone else in my position just might succumb to the ridicule, where I will not. It’s still challenging to be seen as an equal, I guess.
What is your music goal for the year?
Tour overseas as much as I can. I’m based in California, if you know any promoters looking to book me in your country hit me up!
