The SoundFit Plus Waterproof Bluetooth Speaker looks like a mini-boombox too me which is pretty cool but, what about the sound quality? And how easy is the connection to my phone? Is it really waterproof and how durable is it at that price point?
Bluetooth speakers have a hard time staying in my possession. Not because they break or anything like that. It’s because my daughter tends to snag them away from me on the premise of ‘just borrowing one time’. Only that one time turns into forever and I never see it again.
Things will be different with this bluetooth speaker from AYL because for one, I really love the way it looks and secondly, I like how easy it connects, the sound quality and how sturdy it is in my hand.
The SoundFit Plus Waterproof Bluetooth Speaker comes in this neat little box with the biker guy on the cover. One of the selling points is that it can be mounted on a bike. I asked my boss, who is an avid rider, if he’d use a speaker like this for his long weekend rides and he said absolutely, yes. He doesn’t wear headphones because he feels it’s dangerous to not be aware of your surroundings but, he would like to listen to music as he rides and the ease of being able to make a speakerphone call with it is an added bonus.
The speaker comes neatly packaged in the box as you can see. I always love when a ‘Thank you for your support’ card comes with an item. It gives it a nice personal touch. As you can see in the photo below, Inside the box you get:

The USB cable is to charge the speaker and the AUX cable gives those who don’t have a bluetooth compatible phone the ability to connect their phone to the speaker anyway.
How Easy is it to Connect?
My first test was connecting it to my phone. How easy would that be. Trust me, I’ve had issues in the past trying to connect bluetooth devices. The SoundFit Plus Waterproof Bluetooth Speaker came charged straight out of the box and when I turned on my phones bluetooth feature it showed up with no issue and connected with a tap of my screen.
How is the Sound Quality?
I listen to mostly hip hop and R&B which tends to have a lot of base and the quality of this speaker is pretty impressive especially for the size (8 x 4.3 x 2.5 inches) and weight (1.3 pounds). I also listened to some YouTube videos which sounded good as well and lastly I had a speakerphone conversation with my daughter. I heard her clearly and she heard me clearly.
Is it Really WaterProof?
It was raining the other day here in NYC so I took it outside and it’s still working pretty well. I’d like to add that I risked my life to test this gadget for you guys since it was actually thundering & lightening with a threat of a tornado. The things I do to bring you quality gadgets man.
I didn’t immerse it in water. I’m always nervous about doing that type of testing and I don’t think that’s a realistic scenario. I’ll leave that type of intense testing to Consumer Products or Engadget. For every day usage it’s fine outside in the rain.
Here’s some key likes and dislikes I had about the SoundFit Plus Waterproof Bluetooth Speaker:
Likes – The sleek look, the battery life (10 hours), the size & weight, it fits in the palm of my hand, connects easily and priced right
Dislikes – I wish the strap on the side was removable or that it at least could be opened to attach to a belt loop or something.
