Yes, I know, having a 24K Gold Reusable Keurig K-Cup is not on everybody’s cool factor list but it is on mine. Especially since I have a new found love for my Keurig machine. I’ll explain.
I’ve been a Red Bull fanatic for many years now. So much so, that I pretty much gave up on coffee. Didn’t really drink it at all. I decided in the new year to be a lot healthier and gave up the energy drink forever. Goodbye sweet sweet delicious taste. Now, I have a lovely Keurig 2.0 machine that was patiently waiting for me to finally see it’s worth and the time came once I gave up the bull.
I love the ease of making just one cup or making a quick carafe but, more than that, I love and can now appreciate the taste of a great cup of coffee. As a Puerto Rican, that great tasting cup is none other than Bustello Coffee. They sell Bustello Kcups but, I’m also cheap and they always have the bricks on sale at the local supermarket. My dilemma becomes do I go for the sale or do I stick with the ease of the more expensive K-Cups.
That’s not a problem with so many reusable K-Cups going around but, why not give your coffee a “pinky’s up” eliteness to it with the MaxBrew 24K Gold Keurig K-Cup.
Yes, I love the bling factor but there’s so much more that I do like about the MaxBrew brand of reusable K-Cups.
Let’s start with the basics. You’re going to get (2) two 24K Gold reusable K-Cups in this kit. One for the single cup use and the other is for the carafe if you have a Keurig 2.0 machine. They also include (3) three free filters in the kit which is kind of cool.
The 24K Gold filter is designed with honey comb shaped grooves which allows for a superior brew and is engineered to ensure your coffee brews evenly every time. You can even use the finest grind available. I’m not an expert on filtering so I don’t know the dynamics behind that. I do know that it’s a great tasting cup of coffee and there aren’t any little grind pieces in my coffee that sometimes happens with regular K-cups (can’t stand that).
Most of you reading this have probably have reusable K-Cups. If you do then the comparison with this one is that it actually does fit well in the machine. I know that’s an issue. I read some of the reviews on Amazon for this particular K-Cup and I think one of them mentioned that it didn’t fit. I didn’t find that to be true. It fit in my Keurig 2.0 and it also fit in the small Keurig machine I have at work. I don’t know the model of that machine but, it looks like one of the first ones.
I think for most people who are looking to try reusable k-cups there are 3 basic questions that they need answered:
1- Does it fit?
Yes, this reusable k-cup fits and fits well. I read one review that said it didn’t. If you look, you’ll see that is the only review that states that. Everyone else pretty much will say what I’m saying. It fits fine.
2- How is the brewing?
I think it filters a really great cup of coffee. One of the issues I find with regular disposable k-cups is that there tends to be some grinds that fall in the cup for the less expensive coffees. This wasn’t the case for me with these reusable k-cups.
3. Is it Easy to clean?
I find them easy to wash and clean. No issue. The inside is very smooth and easy to rinse.
If you’ve never had a reusable K-Cup before then I recommend this brand. They’re even offering a 40% discount code. You just type in your email address and they will forward you the code that you can use on Amazon.
