I remember the first time I went into the hospital to give birth. It was my very first time giving birth and it would also be my very first time staying in a hospital.
I was nervous for many reasons but the nurses put me at ease and had me laughing and comfortable for the most part. I wish I could remember their names and those nurses for my second delivery and my especially my third which ended in still birth. The nurses comforted me as if I was their family.
They went above and beyond and wherever they are, I thank them immensely which is why it was important to me to share this new program.
Pampers is launching the Thank You Nurses Awards program, honoring nurses across three award categories: Labor & Delivery, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and Postpartum.
It gives you the opportunity to share your story of a nurse who helped make life #betterforbaby. Hopefully, you remember the name of your nurse of can track them down so you can submit a nomination to www.tongal.com/pampersnurses.
Even if you don’t remember the nurses name, I encourage you to share your story on Facebook, Twitter, your blog or even my blog in the comment section. Use the hashtag #ThankYouNurses so we can all share in your experience.
Nurse nominations can be submitted between November 9th and December 14th.
- Three finalists, one in each category (Labor & Delivery, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and Postpartum), will be announced in March and the grand prize honoree will be announced in May.
- The three finalists will be honored with short documentary videos showcasing their unique and inspirational nursing stories.
- Each of the three finalists will receive a one-year membership to the Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN), attendance at the 2016 AWHONN Convention, Procter & Gamble care packages, and more. Visit tongal.com/pampersnurses for full prizing details.
- In honor of these nurse winners, three Pampers Swaddlers scholarships will be made available to help nurses from underrepresented groups complete their studies toward a Master of Science in Nursing degree.
