I always joke that I’m going to get a hammock for the office. It’s a small loft like space with an upper area that acts like a storage but could easily and comfortably fit a hammock for naps or leisure.
So, I had a good laugh when I had the opportunity to review the Double Camping Hammock from Live Infinitely. I figured I could try and tie it up in the office or at the very head to Central Park to set up and chill.
Unfortunately I haven’t had a chance to try it in the office yet. See, it came with tree straps but, it didn’t come with hooks & straps to hang it indoors. The company DOES sell those indoor straps. I’m going to order them and set the hammock up in my apartment instead. I’ll post a picture up when I do.
In the meantime, let me tell you a little bit about my new hammock. It’s made of pretty sturdy nylon. That’s a bit more comfortable than the traditional hammocks made of rope. It’s very easy to set up and tie around trees.
It can be set up in less than 5 minutes and they fold easily into attached gear pouch when it’s time to put it away.
It holds two people comfortably but can also hold up to 450lbs. I don’t know about you but, I can see a group of my friends trying to fit on it at the same time. That would be fun as long as they don’t exceed the maximum weight. Crashing to the ground would not be fun unless I’m just witnessing it and capturing the photo.
The double camping hammocks measure 9′ 10″ long by 6′ 6″ wide (300cm x 200cm). When it’s not in use it conveniently folds into the included gear pouch measuring 6″x 8″ and only weighs 18 ounces which makes it the perfect portable hiking or backpacking hammock.
What I love about it is the fact that it can serve as a bed outdoors AND indoors. That’s so much more convenient than an air mattress (which doesn’t work since I have cats) because you don’t have to fill it up and it folds up easily to be put away and my favorite part. It’s less than $40 and you can get the indoor straps for just $10 more.
