They will be hosting a dinner for over 600 families through their Bring Dinner Home :A Holiday Meal initiative.
In addition to providing a warm meal for the families they will also be gifting warm coats, gloves, hats and school supplies for the children.
This is a much needed effort and one that will go a long way to make sure that these children and their parents have what they need as winter approaches.
I’m always touched by stories like this because a little bit goes a long way in the heart and mind of a child and it’s always a beautiful blessing when people are focused on helping their communities thrive and be better by taking time and effort to give a helping hand.
The families of Camden Street elementary live with a number of sobering statistics:

- The annual income for this community is $34,387 (US Census)
Monica C. Smith, Chairwoman and Founder of Marketsmith, Inc. explains, “I believe those of us who have found success owe it to this world to make it a better place. This is my mission to end hunger for the children in our state and to ensure that the obstacles to learning are removed. Every child deserves to be fed, safe and to be educated. It is that simple.”
