I was just reading how bedtime stories and nursery rhymes are a good way to bond with your child and to give them stability and a set pattern which is why books are one of my favorite gifts to give kids.
Now, it’s not the only gift because they’d probably bounce off the walls if their gifts didn’t also include toys but, books are certainly one of the best and most important gifts.
Book publisher, Wisdoms Tales, always has wonderful books for children that make great gifts so, when I received “The Pandas and Their Chopsticks – and other animal stories” by Demi from them, I didn’t expect anything but the best.
Demi takes ten popular fables and reworks them in this colorful book. You can read a new fable each day or read a few in one sitting.
The print is big and easy to follow for tiny fingers and eyes and the fables teach valuable lessons while being fun for example “A Hedgehog Thinks Twice” tells the story of a hedgehog who suspects his neighbor is a thief based on how he looks. He later learns it’s not true and starts to see the neighbor in a different light. The lesson is what boys and girls?
Answer: Never judge a book by its cover.
Though I wouldn’t apply that theory to “Pandas and Their Chopsticks” because the cover which shows pandas sitting around a table eating chopsticks is just as vibrant and fun as the stories inside.
Whatever gifts you decide to get the children in your life this holiday season you should add a book to the list. Which book? Well, any book that teaches them and helps them enjoy reading. “Pandas and Their Chopsticks” is one of those books.
