First of all, I’m going to be honest. When I received these to review, I just wanted to keep saying ‘breaker breaker, this is Rain checking in’. BUT, this gift is for your children so please keep that in mind.
Keeping in mind that it’s for the children, these two-way radios are the perfect size for their small hands which is great. That’s the first thing I noticed before I even opened up the package. I’ve seen a few two way radios that are meant for kids but, they’re so bulky.
Aside from the size, they have an amazing 16 mile range and 22 frequencies which makes them great for camping or for a family outing where separation might happen.
The Motorola Talkabout MG160 series of two-way radios are compact and easy-to-use. The small size is ideal for elementary age children who aren’t in the cell phone stage quite yet, but they do need to check in with mom and dad in the neighborhood. They are also fun for hours of playtime time outside.
