I didn’t think I’d be able to write and share this update with you guys or at least not with the photos. I absentmindedly left my camera at an event and all my photos for this event and others were lost along with it. But, alas, a kind soul found and it and my camera and most importantly my priceless photos and I were reunited.
I would have been bummed because these pictures represent my first event. I opted to host it at Amazing Brows in Chelsea because that is where I go to get my brows done and they’re always so friendly, professional and dare I say AMAZING at what they do.
The owner of Amazing Brows, Vani, had actually flown back into from India that morning. I don’t know how she did it but, I’d like to think the Piper Sonoma champagne and Sweet Dreams Mini Donuts helped her along.
Clarance Tobias and The Donutologist |
The event benefited the Tobias Foundation and CEO and Founder Clarance Tobias was on hand all the way from Trinidad to join in the festivities.
The steps and walkway leading to the spa were decorated in blue and white rose petals to create a beautiful ambiance while carribean and reggae tunes played lightly in the backround giving the event a mellow vibe.
DASHA wellness & spa in NYC was gracious enough to send over delicious chocolate treats that guests enjoyed as they arrived and got to take home in their gift bags.
Our gift bags included the DASHA wellness & spa chocolates, a gift certificate for a complimentary bootcamp from Cheetah Fitness NYC, a gift certificate from Amazing Brows, candles, eye masks and scrubs from an anonymous donor and other AMAZING treats.
Everyone who purchased a VIP spa package received a bag and they all were very happy with their bounty.
We were happy with the generosity as proceeds from the VIP packages went to the Tobias Foundation.
We had men and women getting spa treatments and even Henna tattoos for a great cause.
Remy provided us with their Piper Sonoma champagne in Brut and Blanc and the bubbly bubbled on and on and on.
A special thank you to DJ Ready Cee for donating his time and effort by creating and printing the flyers for the event.
And we can’t forget the donuts. Todd Jones, aka The Donutologist set up his Sweet Dreams Mini-Donuts shop right inside of the spa and treated us to tasty, piping hot donuts throughout the event.
On behalf of the Tobias Foundation and Rain Dazed Entertainment I’d like to thank everyone who helped make it an AMAZING event and look forward to seeing you at the next one.
