If I had this bike mount before, my phone wouldn’t be cracked. Seriously, I always put my phone in a little pouch before I take off to ride. On this particular day I was taking it out to set up my riding app and someone tapped my hand to get my attention and the phone dropped.
If it had been in the cradle that would not have happened.
Anyway, I got the Koomus BikeGo 2 Bike Mount Holder recently and it’s made my ride so much easier.
I have a Galaxy 3 but, it fits most smartphones including the new IPhone 6 and the ginormous 6+.
The best thing about it is that I can ride an track my GPS without having to fumble the phone out of my pouch.
There were two things I was worried about:
How difficult would it be to install?
Is my phone really safe in this cradle?
Installation:
It was so super easy. There are only three pieces. The white wrap goes around, the actual mount snaps tightly and securely around it and then there is a strap that has a plug that goes into the earphone jack if you want to add some extra security.
If you want to plug your headphones (which I don’t because I like to hear my suroundings) then you don’t need to plug the strap into the earphone jack. The phone is completely secure inside of the mount. It doesn’t move.
As you can see in my photos, I have the phone pointing straight up and down.
The mount also adjusts to fit whatever size smartpphone you have.
Safety:
The phone doesn’t move once it’s in the cradle. It’s there to stay. I rode around with it and it didn’t budge.
If you’re the reckless type then you might have an issue but, otherwise, for the average rider the mount is holding the phone nice and snug. Again, there is also the option to plug the strap into the earphone jack for more security. It’s really up to you.
Do I recommend the KoomusBikeGo 2 Bike Mount Holder Cradle?
Absolutely. I wish I had one earlier. I didn’t even know something like this existed. It has made getting around so much easier and it’s less than $20 unlike a lot of bike gadgets and accessories.
