Okay, I have to admit, when I first received these in the mail to review my first thought was ‘What in the world am I looking at right now?”
The package of Exfolimate was 2 different sized ‘scrapers’. Or at least that’s what it looked like to me. I knew the smaller one was to use on my face and the larger one was to use on, well, the larger parts of my body like arms, legs etc…but, would they really work and did I really want to scrape my face?
For you guys and for beauty and mostly because I DID agree to review the product, I was going to indeed to the ….DEED.
How to use Exfolimate.
The instructions seemed easy enough but , it did come with precautions. The very first bullet point in the directions reads:
Please refer to Precautions before use.
So, that’s what I did and most of it is pretty basic and standard for anything you’re using on your skin like
- Don’t use after laser or chemical peel
- Don’t use on broken skin
- Avoid excessive pressure
You get the point.
I made sure my skin was moist and went to work, holding the smaller exfolimate to the skin on my face at a 90 degree angle like they suggested and gently scraped 4 or more times.
Let me tell you, that’s a very therapeutic feeling. Not sure why but, I wanted to keep going. I didn’t, of course, because they warn you not to. Maybe that’s why they DO warn you because you don’t want to stop once you start.
How does it feel?
After I did the deed , I rinsed and dried my face and it did feel nice and smooth. The only thing is while it tells you to only use 4 to 6 glides of the dull blade, I couldn’t find any information on the package about when I could use it again.
I haven’t tried the big Exfolimate yet, but I plan to try it on my feet. I’m very ticklish and always have a hard time when I get a pedicure because it tickles when they go to scrub my feet so, maybe I can do that part in the comfort of my home and let them take care of the toes.
In all, I think the product is really cool. I don’t know if I’ll add it to my usual beauty regime but, it does work.
How much is it and where can I find it?
Exfolimate is $29.99 for a 2 piece kit. I don’t know how long they last before you need to replace them or if the metal part becomes more dull through time.
You can find Exfolimate on Amazon.com.
Have you used this product? If so, did you like it?
I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
