Q & A w/Author Crystal Connor
Telling stories is something I’ve always done. When I was younger I aleways got invited to slumber parties because I told the best scary stories! I didn’t start writing them down until I was in Jr. High school and I’ve been writing them ever since.
Who is your favorite author?
Stephen King! The 1st book I read without being forced to do so was Pet Sematary and it drew me in like no other book had, I ran out of my room in tears when the character Gage was killed.
Scared the heck out of my mom because she didn’t know what was going on and couldn’t understand what I was saying through my tears. He’s been a staple in my literary diet from day one.
What book has influenced your life most?
The King James Version of the Holy Bible
Describe “And They All Lived Happily Ever After!” in 30 words or less.
Bold, action-packed, exotic, intense, provocative, scary, brash, chilling, all consuming, unsettling, suspenseful, refreshing, startling, riveting, flagrant, thrilling, highly recommended, top notch fiction that leaves you wanting more!
Why should we read it?
Because it’s different from the norm. For one the strong leads in most of the stories are women of color or children making unbelievably tough decisions. All the stories in terms of tone, pace, and plot are completely different from one another and none of them are predictable.
What other books have you written?
The Spectrum Trilogy, the three books of the volume are The Darkness, Artificial Light, and bringing up the rear is In the Valley of Shadows.
I’ve also co-written two novels with paranormal romance novelist Lori Titus; In the Foothills of Mt. Empyreal: The End is Now and The Guardians of Man: Black Feathers Fell.
Both books revolves around the same incident, the same town, and the same people but they are completely separate from each other and tell a different story.
We wrote those books under the pen name Connor Titus.
