If “Life” could be a specific thing then I would say that (Life) is what inspires me to create art.

Describe your music and your new single “That Guy”.
“That Guy” is a laid back song set in the 90’s RnB with a 2014 HipHop/Soul Vibe. It is an intimate conversation between a guy and a lady he just met and he is interested in getting to know her. He politely boasts a little in an attempt to convince the lady he is the one for her.
This song is the first single from the EP. Interesting, it was the first song that i fully wrote and recorded the same day Win Kongmuang from Thoughtsatwerk sent me the instrumental for it.
The EP ‘s title “Songs From the Centre of My World” explains the entire sound of the EP. It’s what we are trying to call a crossing over EP. We are trying not to limit ourselves with this first set of songs.
That is essentially my personality. I would want my future fans to just one day identify my songs by mostly my voice and authenticity not by the genre. “That Guy” serves its purpose by being the house party, club and first date type song on the EP.
What inspired you to pursue music?
I have always been a musical person right from infancy. I believe music and film are very powerful platforms that play a vital role in socializing and shaping any community. It is almost a natural responsibility for me I think to contribute my share of helping shape our lives to its destined venue. I am inspired by anything, so it’s extremely hard to pinpoint a specific thing. If “Life” could be a specific thing then I would say that is what inspires me to create art.
Who is your favorite artist?
I honestly do not have one favorite Artist. I love these guys because of their originality and sense of sound or message.
Stevie Wonder, Luther Vandross, Carla Bruni, Corinne Bailey Rae to name a few. Any artist whose music speaks to me i follow.

What has been your greatest career accomplishment so far?

So far, I would say meeting my team. I have been able to meet big names in the industry like Kevin Declue to name a few through my team. Of course radio plays, interviews such as these and really the positive feedback I get from new fans excites me.
What has been your biggest challenge?
Honestly, time and exposure. Before, I barely had enough time to record or create. I had to take care of myself.
I left Ghana and moved to United States to chase my dreams after my father passed away in 2006. I couldn’t stay in college in Ghana whilst my mother worked every day of the week to pay my tuition.
When I moved here, things got a bit difficult financially with school, rent, food, etc. I didn’t get help from anyone so I had to put music aside and try surviving first. Things are bit manageable now so, I thank God for that.
Usually when people meet me and get introduced to my music, they get shocked as to why i haven’t made it yet. It’s such a confidence builder.
What’s your career goal for the next year?
My career goal for the year is to get two of my EP’s out before it ends. The idea is to spend time on building a fan base or audience. Also, we are working very hard to get rooted with a team on a bigger platform.
