I remembered how music saved me in the past and thought to myself, “I owe this to music“.
Atlanta based producer Mad 95 credits his love of songwriting and the fact that he plays multiple instruments, including guitar, as part the reason he stepped into the role of producer.
His beats are created by samples of instrumentals he’s played himself on the guitar and most of them even have song lyrics that he’s already written but leaves off to have a clean canvas for other artists to see what they can create with his music.
His beats represent his eclectic taste varying from rock to trap music.
As the first producer of our Indie Spotlight Series we asked Mad 95 to do a little something different by sharing and describing 3 of his beats with our readers along with answering our 5 quick questions.

Three Beats Explained
Double by Double – this song includes a vocal hook that I kept in because it was catchy and had ties to the restaurant industry. That’s actually an original song I wrote at 19.
The Greatest – totally made as a southern “trap style” instrumental and intended for hip hop artists to use.
Not Today – 90’s grungy alt rock song, written, produced and edited by and for myself using sing an acoustic guitar.
