Water from the Dead Sea is said to be very therapeutic and beneficial to the skin and the body. One of the main reasons it’s so highly regarded is because it contains minerals such as magnesium, calcium, sulfur, bromide, iodine, sodium, zinc and potassium that serve to heal the skin and hair.
As a result, there are many products that contain water from The Dead Sea and I’m always curious to test them out to see if it indeed is a good as claimed.
One of those products is Dead Sea Salt DeepHair Conditioner from Andovia. I received a bottle to test out and was pretty excited because it’s supposed to be especially good for naturally curly hair.
My daughter and I both have naturally curly hair but, we often blow dry and straighten it so it tends to get dull and dry.
I only received the conditioner so I had to use my own shampoo.
The instructions were simple enough. There’s nothing major or different than your average conditioner.
You add it to your hair after you shampoo and let it sit for 5 minutes, then rinse, dry and style your hair.
The first thing I noticed is the scent. It smells so good.
A lot of times conditioners will be a little too perfumery or sometimes when they’re particularly to ‘repair’the hair it will have more of a chemical scent.
The conditioner had a really pleasant scent.
I also liked the way it felt in my hair. It wasn’t heavy at all. It spread easily and evenly through my hair and I didn’t have to use too much to cover my hair completely. I’m a bit of a conditioner over user. Sometimes putting globs upon globs until I feel that there is enough.
I went about my usual routine of drying my hair and it it felt instantly soft to the touch. My fingers ran through it easily and it didn’t feel dry. It actually did feel silky which is a nice change since my hair has been dull and in need of some type of deep conditioner for a while.
My daughter loved the conditioner too. This is a picture of her hair styled after conditioning with Dead Sea Salt Deep Hair Conditioner from Andovia.
Now for the question I always like to answer with review products: Would I purchase this item with my own money?
I really love the way my hair feels after using the conditioner for a while but, was a little apprehensive about the $19 price tag.
Ultimately, I will be purchasing this product because as I said, I love the way makes my hair feel and look and my daughter loves it too. I probably will only use it once a week as a deep conditioner so the product lasts longer.
Oh, here’s a picture of me with my hair done casually hanging with some friends after using Adovia’s Deep Sea Conditioner.
