Love is in the air!
It seems like everyone around me is getting engaged and planning weddings.
My Facebook timeline is filled with updates on venues, flower arrangements, whether to open bar or not to open bar and every minute detail in between.
While they deal with all of that, I’m going to focus on the most beautiful part of the wedding process, the beginning, where it all starts…the engagement ring.
They say that diamonds are a girl’s best friend but, with all the horrible issues happening with conflict diamonds people have been looking for alternatives.
What if the alternative IS a diamond? A conflict free diamond like the ones I found on the Bashford Jewelry website.
Bashford Jewelry makes stunning eco-friendly and conflict free diamond engagement rings. They also have other earth friendly jewelry including earrings, bracelets and necklaces.
I like that their jewelry pieces are all handmade. I also really like the fact that they use recycled metals which is great for our environment. Most importantly $10 of every purchase is donated to a charitable organization.
I was curious how they assure their customers that these are indeed socially responsible engagement rings so, I asked the designer and founder, Mildred and she was kind enough to share this link that explains where and how Bashford Jewelry aquires their stones and metals.
All of their stones come with a certificate of origin that you can also view right on their site.
It’s really good to know that a company is taking the time to help our communities and our environment as they build and grow. It makes me feel like my purchase is that much more meaningful.
I was going to pick one dream ring to share but, I found way too many that I liked and I just couldn’t decide. I did somehow manage to narrow it down to 5 favorites.
Now I just need a prince charming or five.
Eco Rare Diamond Engagement Ring
This was the first ring I fell in love with. I knew it was the one for me. It’s as perfect a solitaire as you can get.
Wild Roses Diamond Engagement Ring
This vintage style ring is also beautiful. It reminds me of my mother’s ring. The best part is the vintage look with a modern eco-friendly twist.
Dazzle Diamond Engagement Ring
The blue colored stones makes this ring so incredibly unique. It gives this 3-stone ring a splash of class.
I Promise You Diamond Engagement Ring
For those that want to go the manmade diamond route, you can’t go wrong with this ring. I liked the price and the look.
Eco Earth Yellow Diamond Engagement Ring
What? Can’t a girl dream? I’ve always wanted a yellow diamond ring. This one is absolutely perfect.
