Old Trapper Beef Jerky Review

I love beef jerky. I could eat it every day and be completely content so, when I received some samples of Old Trapper Beef Jerky I couldn’t wait to try them. For those that don’t know what beef jerky is or how it’s made I pulled this from Old Trappers’ site: We (Old Trapper) season lean cuts of real steak, add brown sugar for just the right hint of sweetness, and smoke them to perfection using real wood in our smokehouses. The result is tender, never-tough jerky that will be the best you’ve ever tasted.

Now that we got that out of the way, I want to share my thoughts on how they taste and why I think they’d make great gifts.

Old Trapper Deli Style Beef Jerky

Calling these ‘Deli Style’ beef sticks makes sense because they taste just like the type of beef jerky you’d get at a regular store or bodega without the length. I thought they looked kind of funny but, looks are deceiving because they tasted so good, and the bite-size length (well 2 bites for me) is great. Most people will just pop one in their mouth. Party in your mouth! HA! HA!

Old Trapper Pepper Beef Jerky

I swooned a little bit at the Peppered Beef Jerky. It was so delicious. The perfect combo of tangy, subtly sweet with a slight bite of pepper. It’s also chewy which makes the size of the pieces perfect to just chow down as a snack. If you’re a fan of jerky then you’ll definitely appreciate the flavors and texture. If you’re new to jerky then it’s a nice rounded example of some of the best I’ve ever had. You won’t be disappointed.

To be honest, I finished this bag by myself in (2) two days so, I’d recommend ordering a few.

Why I Recommend Old Trapper Beef Jerky

The Old Trapper jerky has a long shelf life which is why they make great gifts for the people in your life who enjoy hikes, watching football or any sport, fishing, and just good old 3 am sneak snacking. They are reasonably priced so you can choose a few to make a kit or buy one or two as stocking stuffers or for Hannukah gifts. You can purchase on Amazon or on their site: Old Trapper.
