Please tell our readers about growing up in Dominica!

You know, sometimes it takes someone not having something they once had or moving away to really appreciate what they have or where they come from Dominica is an amazing island, the rivers, the beaches, the people, nature. it’s all so amazing but unfortunately, my mom was super over protective so I didn’t get to see a lot of it growing up honestly but whenever I did go out as a kid it would be down glu glu thats was like the villages’ hub I’d be on the court playing cricket or basketball with my friends and when I’m with my cousins we’d go down to the river or the beach and just chill, but for the most part, I was always at home; I was recording, writing and essentially learning to do all of the things that I’m good at now.

Who are your main influences in music?

My first musical influence was 50 Cent, “Get Rich or Die Tryin’” — amazing, 50 and DMX were my first musical influences. Anybody that knows me though, knows that I’m the biggest Drake fan mainly because when I first heard the music it was a lot more relatable to me, plus the fusion of melody was really dope to me. Dude has always been nice.

Pros & Cons of being an artist in LA?

L.A., in my opinion, is definitely in the heart of the entertainment world, everything is here. you get to network with different people, explore and kind of find your middle ground you know? It can actually be super inspiring being here, however, you can get distracted very easily and lose sight of what is real and what is not. whether it be girls or parties or whatever your vice is. It can get the best of you-you just gotta stay focus.

One-year goals?

Oh man, where do I start I want to be touring, I want top 10 Billboard singles, and I want to have an album out, I want to perform on Jimmy Fallon, I wanna do OVO Fest, I wanna pay off my student loans haha.

I wanna grow as a person be better in all ways. all the musical goals I want to do it independently.

Where do you seek inspiration for your lyrics?

It’s definitely a feeling thing, whatever is going on in my head or around me or however I’m feeling I try to find the best way to express that through melody and lyrics.

If you could tour with any artist who would it be and why?

Tory Lanez, hands down, his music is lit, the concerts are lit, that would be wax.
