We had a chat with The Kraken Music as part of our Music Spotlight Series to talk learn more about her, the music she’s creating and what’s next in her  rising career:

You currently have 500k Spotify Plays! Tell us about this great success and how you have been able to reach to many listeners.

Yeah!! That is really great, I’m happy and grateful that people are listening to my songs and feeling connected with them. This direction that I took almost a year ago, about going more Pop Electronic on the streaming versions was really important and the results are showing off now. It’s not only about exploring my feelings into the songs but also caring the way people will listen to it. Having songs that will make you have fun and feeling great at a party is definitely my concept, but I want to be there for you when you are confused, lonely because I feel that too, music helped me, I want my music to help others too.

Who would you tour within the US if you could tour with anyone you choose?

I think I would choose Steve Aoki, first because I’m a big fan and I already saw him live before. And second, because I think that the concepts that he brings in his shows might work well with mine. The way he brings his punk references to an EDM party, the vibe that he creates would work well with my concept that is making you feel like you are on your vacation mode on an EDM party at the tropics, having fun and dancing, also with rap references. Can you imagine how great this Party would be? It would be like a festival.

What festivals would you like to play in the US?

There are so many!!! It would be a dream playing at Electric Daisy Carnival Las Vegas, Escape- Psycho Circus, Ultra Music Festival, Electric Forest, Electric Zoo, Lollapalooza… USA have fantastic festivals, I’ll be working hard on my career to play in these festivals one day, I hope it would be soon because as always, these are the results of dedication and work.

What are the 3 words which describe your music best?

I would say Fun, Love, and Unity.

What has been your favorite audience to play for so far?

I always have a lot of fun in performances and it’s always different, but one of my favorites was a Party Label I created a few years ago, in one of the editions we did a Pool Party with 10 artists, on the Brazilian summer, we had waterfalls at the pool, the stage was in front of it, with lights, the sound, the crowd vibe was amazing. I felt so great that I bring this reference today in my performances, I want people to have fun and feel connected.

What city has been your favorite to play?

I think I would still continue the last answer, it was in Niteroi (City), Rio de Janeiro State, Brazil. As my friends from US always say, Nite-Pen. Six months after, this project was getting too big and I needed to focus on my music, so I could create the songs I wanted to make it even better. I took a long time at the studios in Europe, US and Brazil to create my new sound, finally, it’s time to be back on stage.

Do you think the US will be a more energetic crowd than Brazil or less?

I’m sure it would be different; every place has their own way of connecting with the artists and performances. I’m having a great experience with fans and people that listen to my songs in US, I’m really focused on my rehearsals to create this experience of an EDM Party at the tropics, which I really enjoy and know how to do it. I want people to be part of the show, as a party should be, and so far the US has been curious about this, soon we will have our own party and story together! Can’t wait to come!

How do the Brazil clubs differ from US clubs?

It’s very different, but for many reasons, like lately here in Brazil, our music genre that could be considered our country is trending, and a lot of clubs and parties play them, and Brazil it’s more about what is trending. I felt like the US has a club for each music genre, I’ve been in clubs, in Miami, NY, Colorado, and even when they play mostly the Hits songs, some of them were more Hip-hop, others more EDM. What is close to this is EDM parties in Brazil, sometimes they have their own day in the clubs, but usually in the clubs is what is trending.

When can we start buying tickets for your US shows?

I hope to be able to share it on social media very soon, I know EDM Artist are each day on a different place, and it’s very important to anticipate this information, but we are just organizing the logistic of the tour since we might also do a European and Asian tour before we were expecting.

Can you tell us how to follow you?

Absolutely!! You can find everything about me, my music and updates about the tour and rehearsals on my Instagram @TheKrakenMusic, Twitter @TheKrakenMusic and my website www.thekrakenmusic.com
