Fun Times at Liberty Science Center (#giveaway)

Liberty Science Center

Are you in the tristate area and looking for a fun day with your kids? Then I highly recommend Liberty Science Center in Jersey City.  If you haven’t been before,  I’m going to share with you some of the fun and exciting things you can do with tryout kids. If you’ve been before then you already know that you get an action-filled day and you can read about the new exhibits that are open now.

I visited the Liberty Science Center with my nephew, his wife, and their younger children thanks to Momtrends.

The day started with a delicious brunch and was followed by a VIP tour of their latest exhibits, Dino Dig, Arthur’s World and Grossology. The rest of the day was spent exploring everything Liberty Science Center has to offer including a Planetarium exhibit.

Liberty Science Center is located in Jersey City. It’s very easy to get to by car or public transportation from anywhere in the tri-state area.

The Center is geared for all ages. There’s something for everyone whether you want to explore science, or sea life and yes even dinosaurs.

I want to share the three exhibits that we visited first.

Dino Dig
The kids did not want to leave this exhibit and I don’t blame them. It’s fun to sit in the sand and dig until you find a bone and some fossils. The exhibit gives your child the opportunity to explore the sand and learn about dinosaurs. Everyone who enters receives a small shovel to dig away. There are tables where parents can sit and wait while their child explores or you can put on your explorer hat and joint the digging adventure.

Grossology
Everything about this exhibit is gross so of course, kids will love it. If boogers, burping, passing gas and other bodily functions intrigue you then you’ll have to visit Grossology. Where else can you slide through an intestine or walk through a massive nostril? Along with the gross comes plenty of learning about germs, digestion and how the body works.

Arthur’s World
Everyone loves Arthur and everyone will love this exhibit. There’s a tent area where You can pretend to go camping. There’s a kitchen area where you can pretend to cook and there’s even a library where you can pretend to be the librarian or you can’t sit and read and check out books.

One of the most fun sections is the music video area. Arthur’s theme song plays and everyone can stand, sing and dance in front of the green screen and watch the tv monitors to see the scenery. There’s even a DJ booth where you can mix up the theme song or choose other songs and sceneries for those in front of the camera.

Those three fun-filled exhibits are just a small portion of what Liberty Science Center has to offer. You will definitely have a full day of fun. You may even need to go back another day to see it all.

We visited an aquatic center, the planetarium, we went out to the highest point to look across the water at NYC. There is a space simulator and even a huge climbing contraption that is high above the ground. I was NOT going to go into that but, the kids were brave enough to step in and climb.
