♫ Music Spotlight: ESP EVOLUTION – Break Out (Video + Interview)

ESP EVOLUTION consists of singer & songwriter The Lady Capri and producer, Overdose, who has worked with artists Tank, the late Aaliyah, E40, and Fat Joe. They’ve come together to create a sound that is a fusion of pop, rock, hip-hop, r&b, and reggae.

Their latest single “Break Out” is a testament to this talented duo. The song is fun, catchy and a fresh change from what is out now musically. We had a chance to chat with ESP EVOLUTION as part of our Music Spotlight Series to talk about their new video and their music.

Watch the video above and check out our interview with ESP EVOLUTION below. Break Out is available now on iTunes.

Describe your music for those who have never heard it.

ESP EVOLUTION’s music is an eclectic mix of many different genres. We live by the motto that creators should just create and there is no need to label or follow any type of rules. Don’t think about rules, just create.

Tell us about your new song and video “Break Out”:

This song is an introduction to ESP EVOLUTION and what we are all about. We come to make music that people can feel and move to. We want to make music that motivates people and our song ‘Break Out’ hopefully inspires listeners to go after what they want no holds barred and no matter what others might think.

What inspired you to pursue music?

Music is a burning fire inside of us so we had to follow the call and do it. When you love something you can’t just ignore it and walk away from it. Music is it and it’s one of the reasons why we came to this planet at this time!

Greatest career accomplishment so far?

Overdose: Getting to travel the world and perform in front of sold-out audiences with Barry White’s Love Unlimited Orchestra.

Lady Capri: For me, it has been the people’s responses at our shows. To see people of all backgrounds feeling our music is a gift like none other!

What has been your biggest challenge?

Just building a buzz around our music. Music and having a band is like any other business if you don’t have a product people can feel and if they don’t know you exist, then you can’t be successful. However thanks to news and music blogs like ‘A Rain of Thought’ our buzz is growing and we are grateful!

What is your music goal for the year?

Continue our solid music promotions, play some sold out shows and continue to make music that folks can feel and be motivated by!
