Book Review: Starting a HFC Business at Home By Ian Leaf

Working from home and starting your own business seems to be more and more realistic for many people these days. The ability to access the internet from anywhere and connect with people across the globe make it easier to work from home and be your own boss.

Author Ian Leaf did just that when he started his High Fashion Clothing business and he’s sharing the steps he took in a new book called “Starting A HFC Business At Home”.

The book is a short and quick read at only 50 pages. Initially, I thought it was going to be about starting a fashion line but, it’s actually about being a reseller of high fashion clothing from your home.

Ian gives a pretty basic step by step guide on how he started his business that can be used as a blueprint for almost any home based business. It’s definitely a read for a beginner who has no knowledge of the basics of starting a business from home.

It doesn’t go in depth about specific steps he took with his business as far as vendors and the type of clothing he actually sells in his store. It gives a general look at the business side as opposed to the creative aspect of being a high fashion seller.

Leaf does discuss the need to be ahead of the trends in order to score items that will be popular but, he doesn’t specify any items he’s bought or his success with his business. I think he should have named his business in the book and provided a link. He may gain some new customers.

The key take away from the book is to be very careful and aware that there is a lot of fraudulent items out there so, you’re best to connect with a reputable vendor to ensure that your high fashion items are the real deal.

As I mentioned, this is a beginners guide to starting a High Fashion Clothing Business at home and can easily be used as a guide for any home based business.
