Wellness Corner: Staying Healthy With Omega 3 Fish Oil Supplement.

I like to think that I lead a relatively healthy lifestyle. I’m by no means perfect. I drink. I eat fried foods from time to time. I can eat an entire movie sized bag of candy all by myself.

I do however at least try to maintain a regular exercise routine and I also take vitamins. There are three that I like to take regularly, women’s multi-vitamins, probiotics and omega fish oil. I truly believe taking that cocktail of vitamins is why I’m never sick. I get a cold here and there but, I haven’t been super sick in years and by years I mean 10+ or more.

Today I want to focus on one of those vitamins that I take, fish oil. Omega fish oil is good for your heart, your bones and your immune system. I love it but what I don’t necessarily love is the taste or the smell. Going down is not the problem as long as I hold my breath**.  It’s the after taste of fish that is a bit of a turn off. I also worry that other people can smell that fishy smell on my breath**.

**Tip of The Day: If you hold your breath while ingesting something that tastes or smells gross it will go down smoother because you won’t taste or smell it.

I’ve tried fish oil vitamins from companies that swear that their product doesn’t smell like fish. Wrong. Or that it doesn’t taste like fish. Wrong again. Let’s face it, if I can find a better tasting fish oil vitamin then I’ll be happy.
So, here I was trying yet another fish oil product that promised the above. Could it deliver?

Triple Strength Omega 3 Fish Oil Supplement from Nature’s Branch promises no fishy after taste. It claims to have a subtle lemon taste. It actually tastes like orange to me.

Whatever the taste may be it’s good and you’ll be happy with it. I don’t know if the price reflects the quality of the vitamins because the retail price is kind of up there but, I received them at a discounted price and it looks like they are always on sale on Amazon for about $21.00 which is a pretty good price for 120 capsules.

I’ve paid less but, they’ve tasted fishy. I’ve paid more and they still tasted fishy so, I’m pretty happy with the price of these and the taste.

They’re also easy to swallow. The gel-like vitamins go down smooth. I take two a day, sometimes with water and sometimes without.

Overall, these fish oil vitamins are everything they claim. They taste good (I promise they do) and they’re a great price. You can learn more about Nature’s Branch Triple Strength Omega Fish Oil by visiting theire site here.
