‘Tis the season to give and a lot of times people are looking to donate to charitable causes to help make the holiday a little brighter for children and families around the world.

You’re here reading this post so first, thank you for stopping by and secondly, if you’re looking for a great cause, I hope you consider donating to Water Aid.

Water is such an important aspect of living. Without it, there is no life. Having access to clean water on a daily basis is something most of us take for granted. There are hundreds of thousands of people across the world who aren’t so lucky.

Jacinta Zelinto from the village of Namissimbe, Niassa, Mozambique   who is pictured in these photos with her 11 month old son Salvadore lost her daughter Sophonia to a water related disease that could have been prevented if they had clean water. Sophonia was just 2 years old. Salvadore will never know his sister but, with clean water he will surely grow to be an amazing young man.

WaterAid believes that where you live shouldn’t determine whether you’ll live. They want children to live beyond their first years. Not just to survive but to thrive. The Child of Mine campaign will challenge everyday heroes across the globe to help give safe water to 100,000 kids under the age of five. A few super-heroes are standing by to match gifts on #GivingTuesday.
