#HolidayGiftGuide: Merry Stirring Mice – Santa’s Secret Team By Cynthia Dreeman Meyer (Giveaway)

Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse…..okay, maybe SOME mice.

A bedtime story on Christmas Eve is a tradition that many families hold near and dear and the classic ‘Night Before Christmas’ is a popular favorite.

First time author, Cynthia Dreeman Meyer, is adding a mousy twist to the classic tale (get it? tale..tail…nevermind) with her holiday children’s book “Merry Stirring Mice – Santa’s Secret Team.

This adorable holiday story shares the side of the mice who are indeed stirring underneath as they wait for Santa to arrive.

Your kids will love reading along about how Mama Mouse and Papa Mouse prepare their ‘kids’ for Santa by making the sugarplums and candy canes as Santa’s secret helpers.

As an added bit of fun, each illustration in the book, which is the talented work of  Marina Samell and Maria Eugenia Papeo, has a spider hidden within so as you read your child can try and find the little creature.

They can also try and search for the spider’s name which is also hidden in the drawings but not mentioned in the story. I know what it is but, I’m not telling. You’ll have to find it yourself.

Author Cynthia Dreeman Meyer says, “This is the first story I’ve published, but storytelling is in my blood.  My father made up stories for my sister and me when we were growing up, and I made up stories for our three sons all their lives.  ‘Merry Stirring Mice’ is dedicated to our sons, and the three ‘boys’ in the book are named after them.”

It’s adorable and you guys already know I’m a fan of books as gifts so, I’m putting this in the gift guide early so you can grab one and be set for Christmas Eve. They’re available on Amazon.com for $17.95. Make sure you get yours today.

Oh, and of course we are going to give one lucky reader a copy. Just enter the giveaway below and good luck.
