“I wasn’t even supposed to get on stage”

Describe your music to someone who hasn’t heard you before.
My music almost describes itself. Whatever feelings, emotions or scenarios that are happening in my life at that time tend to be reflected in my music.

If I’m going through a heartbreak, you will hear a love song. If I’m going through a complicated time in my life, you’ll hear a story told. If I wanted to just make an upbeat song to vibe to, you’ll get a song that you can vibe to all day but that will be the furthest from cliché…I rhymed without trying lol.

Basically, in any way, shape, or form you’ll get the real me. My music is a reflection of myself and my thoughts so it would never be any other way.

I’ve learned to just be positive and patient but to keep being persistent as well.

What inspired you to pursue a music career?
When I was younger I was going through a lot of family drama which I still so happen to go through today. At that time (being 11 years old), I heard the one and only Eminem and I could do nothing but relate to his music and feel his pain and relate that to my life.

I decided to pick up a pen and see if I could jot some things down and rhyme some words and it so happen that I could. I thought becoming famous would fix all my problems, not only that but I wanted my life story at 11 years old to be heard. I knew it was powerful enough to touch other people despite my age.

Greatest career accomplishment to date?
Performing on Pitbull’s stage in Miami at Calle Ocho Festival for about 5,000 people. I wasn’t even supposed to get on stage.

I went backstage to meet some people including Pit. Unfortunately he couldn’t make it but, then came across Mike who is Pitbull’s manager. Mike is friends with my manager, Tricks.

They talked for 5 minutes and then Mike asked if I wanted 10 minutes on stage but I would have to go up right there and then. I obviously said “Yes” not even giving myself time to be nervous and then there I was, in front of 5,000 people.

Music takes me away from reality for a while and I love that

What has been your biggest challenge?
Overcoming being impatient and over thinking. Things might not always be going the way I want them to or as fast as I want them to and it can frustrate me.
But I’ve learned to just be positive and patient but to keep being persistent as well.
Who are your favorite artists?
Eminem, Drake, Lil Wayne, Justin Timberlake, Kanye West, Big Sean and ASAP Rocky
What are your music career goals within the next 1 to 3 years?

To be where I’ve envisioned myself being. Arena tours, platinum albums, traveling, living on my own and way more.
